J’Adore Le Labo (in SoHo)
The last time BF Mike and I were in DC we stayed at the Park Hyatt Washington, one of my favorite hotels in the city. We loved the products in our room, and had never heard of the brand – Le Labo. A little Internet searching led us to a small fragrance boutique in SoHo. It’s a lab, hence the name, where perfumes/colognes are made-to-order, on the spot to preserve freshness:
The feel of the place reminded me of a 1950′s science lab, with all of the potions and concoctions lined up on shelves and the vintage accents throughout:
We were on a mission – to get BF Mike Bergamote 22 cologne, the same scent we sampled at the hotel. We found out that the Park Hyatt Washington is the only hotel boasting Le Labo products (interesting little fact). Luckily, we met a lovely girl (or should I say scientist because she was wearing a lab coat?) who formulated the scent for us. Her name was Sarah and she was super cute with a French accent to match:

Love this place. They have a bunch of different scents (geared toward men and women) and even customize the bottle label with any message you choose. Aside from perfume and cologne, they also offer scented lotions and candles – great for gift-giving! The Bergamote 22 cologne was $52 for .5 oz.
