I’ve been back to work for a few weeks and today I’m *so* happy to share my first real outfit post since having Baby M. This look is pretty versatile — it can be super casual weekend wear or work appropriate. A few pics down, I’ll show you how to dress it down to be commuter-friendly. It’s amazing what a difference heels can make. On a separate note, I didn’t wear any jewelry with this outfit besides diamond studs. I think the look could have used a dainty necklace or some stacked bracelets. What do you think?
Green parka by Marc New York (also seen here and similar here) | J. Crew plaid peasant top (sold out but this green plaid shirt would work just as well and I love the beading detail) | J. Crew Turner Pant (a new staple that totally belongs in your closet) | Warby Parker Preston Frames (also seen here) | Ann Taylor Pumps (I love this embossed tortoiseshell color, it works as a great neutral. These are from last season, and I could NOT find tortoiseshell pumps available anywhere now. But, leopard print also works as a great “neutral,” so try these ($) or these ($$$)
Below you can see how I changed up the look for my commute. I’m wearing the “Internationalist” sneaker by Nike. I can’t tell you how much I love these. The design was inspired by retro Nike running shoes. They’re super comfortable and since the casual look is very in right now, it’s easy to use them to complete an outfit. I want to get them in at least two more colors. The red seems to be sold out everywhere but some other options can be found here, here and here.
